Human Rights and Anti-Semitism in the Current Climate

September 11 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Kenneth L. Marcus, Founding President of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human rights under Law, will discuss challenges to human rights, modern anti-Semitism and other issues, through both domestic and global lenses. Marcus founded the Brandeis Center in 2011 to combat the resurgence of anti-Semitism in American higher education. Previously, he served as Staff Director at the United States Commission on Civil Rights, Assistant Secretary of Education for Civil Rights and Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.

The Parr Center for Ethics is a co-sponser of this event which has been organized by NC Hillel and is co-sponsored by the UNC PPE Program, UNC Global, UNC Public Policy and the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies.
