Bioethics at UNC-Chapel Hill (BUNC)

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

A collaboration across disciplines, Bioethics at UNC (BUNC) is an initiative
that bridges the study of bioethics as taught in the UNC School of Medicine and the College of Arts and Sciences and aims to create mechanisms for helping students navigate between and benefit from our many different course offerings and other curricula in bioethics.

Bioethics examines the ethical questions arising in the medical, health care and public health professions, such as those concerning patient rights, confidentiality, informed consent, abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research, genetic manipulation, cloning, and experimentation with human and animal subjects.
