John Allison:
"Leadership and Values"

BB&T Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John Allison, will present a lecture focusing on "Leadership and Values." A North Carolina native, Mr. Allison received his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA from Duke University. Shortly after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1971, Mr. Allison began his service with BB&T. He became president of BB&T in 1987 and was elected chairman and CEO in July of 1989.
Mr. Allison is currently on the Board of Visitors for the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is also a member of the boards of directors of The Financial Clearing House, Independent College Fund and the Global TransPark Foundation.
