"Ethics of Stem Cell Research." Research on one kind of stem cell—human embryonic stem cells—has generated much interest and public debate. As science and technology continue to advance, so do ethical viewpoints surrounding these developments. The Parr Center for Ethics, StemGroup, and Student Congress sponsored a two-hour public discussion on the ethics of embryonic stem cell research.

"The Challenges of Ethics in Sports". Ethics in sports is a topic with universal appeal. Never has this been truer than today when the media spotlight is turned on ethics in sports on a daily basis. The Parr Center for Ethics, Department of Athletics, UNC Sport Clubs, Department of Exercise and Sport Science, Department of Philosophy and the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs sponsored a two-hour public discussion on the ethics of competition in sports.
