Congratulations to the UNC-Chapel Hill ethics bowl team which received third place at the 2015 Mid-Atlantic Regional Ethics Bowl held at Clemson University, qualifying the team to compete at the National Championship in February!
The team was coached by the Parr Center’s research assistant, Joshua Blanchard, with assistance from Sam Reis-Dennis, philosophy graduate student, and Steve Swartzer, philosophy outreach coordinator. The team members, students enrolled in PHIL 261.001-Ethics in Practice, were asked to analyze ethical dilemmas and develop positions on case studies such as: “Holding Heritage Hostage”, “Million Dollar Parrot”, and “Anti-Vax Tax”.
