Several times each year, the Institute for Arts and Humanities and the Parr Center for Ethics host an hourlong lunchtime discussion for UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and PhD students about an ethical issue related to higher education. These events are not talks so much as facilitated conversations about issues that we all face, and which we all have views about. Recent topics of discussion include safe spaces, trigger warnings, and the meaning and value of objectivity in the classroom.

The Difficult Faculty Conversations series is free and open to all and only UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and PhD students. We provide lunch for all registered attendees. See our schedule for the next event in this series.
