Parr Center Undergraduate Fellows are a key component of the Center’s team. The fellows work to help develop, design, and promote events and programs to their peers and community members. Fellows also provide assistance with the day to day activities of the Center.

Fellows are volunteers who can work on a variety of different projects over the course of a semester or summer. We have fellows divided into six groups based on their interests and abilities and the needs of the Center. Currently, we have groups focused on Documentation/Social Media, Parr Center Programming, the National High School Ethics Bowl, Community Outreach, The Carolina Forum for Ethics Club, and Technology.

There are merely two requirements for fellows. First, they must work a minimum of two hours each week within the Parr Center. Often, pre-approved events count for this time requirement. Also, fellows can work extra and bank their excess hours for another week. Secondly, fellows are required to attend two, evening meetings each month. These meetings are designed to inform fellows of updates within the program, serve as a time/place of community, and provide a time for groups to work on their semester projects. Additionally, we often invite a speaker to come to our evening meetings to talk about their work within ethics. Speakers are typically Faculty or Graduate Fellows of the Parr Center.
